Moscow to host founding conference of Caspian states' information agency alliance

Moscow is set to host the founding conference of the Caspian States' Information Agency Alliance this September, Mikhail Gusman, First Deputy Director General of TASS, said at the "Meeting of Representatives of Information Agencies of Caspian Countries" session, held as part of the 9th Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan.

According to Report, the proposal garnered support from representatives of IRNA, Azertac, and Kazinform agencies.

"Until now, our countries' agencies have cooperated on a bilateral basis, but we are now implementing a format of a virtually unified information space," Gusman stated. "At the founding conference in Moscow, we will resolve all organizational and legal issues."

Addressing the topic of the Caspian Media Platform, Gusman emphasized that this format should remain open to information resources from all Caspian states.
